Seven Husbands

I recently became involved with Evelyn Hugo and her seven husbands while on vacation (The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo: A Novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid). I was not immediately drawn to the book when I read the title. I am so glad that I gave it a try anyway. In the love story, written in the first-person account over several decades, Evelyn Hugo tells her story to a reporter who you also get to know a little. It was intriguing, and I was utterly captivated by the story’s unexpected twists and turns. Not only was I able to escape to Hollywood in the 1940s-1970s, but in the end, I was satisfied with how they wrapped it up. I enjoyed the book and the author’s style so much that I plan to look at other titles by the author.
